I'm looking forward to finding out exactly where on 26 October.Westleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03086331002329853008noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8412862258932281129.post-40629452187491958202009-10-09T12:34:30.255+01:002009-10-09T12:34:30.255+01:00Rick, Grellan thanks for the comments. I think my approach will be to go through the first half in 01:29:XX (weather permitting) and if that pace continues to feel sustainable then great. If not, I will back off to 07:10 mile splits, which should still bring me home with a very good result.Westleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03086331002329853008noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8412862258932281129.post-4777637405455347392009-10-08T19:37:48.355+01:002009-10-08T19:37:48.355+01:00I heard that if you can do a marathon in 3 hours t...I heard that if you can do a marathon in 3 hours then you can do the Yasso 800's in 3 miniutes but that it doesn't necessarily work the other way round.Grellanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07132757537248747078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8412862258932281129.post-37451753630721089462009-10-08T12:53:57.299+01:002009-10-08T12:53:57.299+01:00Marathon prediction time;

However, doing sub three minute 800 repeats is no guarantee of a sub three hour marathon. <br />Paudie, cheers, yep, I am doing Dublin.Westleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03086331002329853008noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8412862258932281129.post-25446733699747845252009-10-08T01:23:37.221+01:002009-10-08T01:23:37.221+01:00YASSO 800'S

I would find it hard to believe the predicted time it gives but it is something to mix into the training. What I tried to do was cut down the recovery in-between. Best of luck with it.
